This little boy was dumped off at a pet store, & rescued by
someone else. He had multiple problems, and was very ill. The new owners knew Clyde needed an experienced
caregiver 24-7, so they made the difficult decision to surrender him to Cathy for lifetime care. Clyde has improved
greatly, but may still require surgery at some point.
UPDATE BY ZOO--MAY 26, 2004
Clyde had health issues off & on--helicobacter--adrenal gland disease--a huge spleen, etc. He has been slowing down.
Yesterday, he couldn`t urinate. The Xray showed stones in the bladder, and a MASSIVE spleen--bigger than we thought. The urine
showed crystals. There was billirubin trouble---(liver) After $248 of diagnostics, including a PCV test, we realized
he just had too many things going on in his little body. The vet said he didn`t believe surgery would be kind, or curative.
Clyde was in pretty rough shape. He left this world at 12:30 today. I was with him, until the end.
I will miss his sweet face.
Love, Zoo
