Snickers was one of our first surrenders.  Apparently, she had been a part of her family for only a month and found herself out of a home because the family cat became jealous of her and made "accidents" all over the house.  The mom made the FERRET leave, instead of the naughty cat who had only lived there a month longer than the ferret.  Snickers came in as a very light sable and her coat changed to silver within a year! People should understand that ferrets can put on quite a fashion show...the ferret they buy today because of it's color may change (all but the albinos, of course).  It would be wise, when selecting one, to choose it for its personality, not its color!
